I’m constantly amazed by how quickly time has been flying lately. I feel like last Sunday was, well, just yesterday. In any case, I had another one of those weeks. I’m trying not to let it get me down, but sometimes it feels like every week is one of those weeks anymore. I was only able to get in 2 runs, neither of which was a long run. Family obligations and some serious full body pain kept me from getting in my long run, but hopefully with next weekend’s calendar being free I’ll be able to get back on track. In any case, I was able to knock out two runs this week:
2 @ 8:23. This was supposed to be a slow run, but it was cold so my body said move move move. Perhaps I should really do a better job of making my slow runs slow so my body doesn’t get so banged up.
5 mile tempo run, 3 @ 7:51. This run turned out really well, despite the fact that the third “fast” mile I was incredibly thirsty and it was uphill. However, I was very happy with how the pace felt over all, so I really can’t complain.
And that my friends, is all the running I did this week. I did, however download the 200 situp challenge and 100 push up challenge apps on my phone, so hopefully I’ll get into those programs to help give me some upper body and core strength I need.
